Working smart is preferable to working hard. When you work smart, God is an integral part of the work experience, but when you work hard, you are consumed by the process without any consciousness of God. A consciousness of God is a recognition that when God is the architect of your plans, the structure of what you build is infinitely more sustainable, becomes incorruptible, and is likely to be indestructible. You will build a monument.
In contrast, working without a consciousness of God ensures that at a later point in time, you will be forced to rebuild. You either will need to make repairs, make adjustments, or embark on an entire restoration. The pyramids of Egypt were built with a consciousness of God; our institutions, including churches, have been built with a partial consciousness of God. They have begun to disintegrate. The year 2017 will test the quality of man's work. He will know whether or not he has built with a consciousness of God. He will discover that building with a partial consciousness of God is not the same as building with God. He will know that God never accepts joint endeavors. He always is the sole architect, and he always is the builder. Anonymous
