Maiden Voyages

When a ship sets sail for the first time, it is customary to have a bon voyage celebration, because everyone hopes that the journey will be enjoyable. Similarly, the journey on which I have just embarked as a sealed and raptured woman of God deserves a bon voyage celebration, not because of hope that the journey will be enjoyable, but because I am confident that this journey will be unlike anything I have ever experienced. I know that God is at the helm of this ship whose certain destination is eternity. I know that when we dock on the far side of eternity, the saints will outnumber the skeptics, and the love will have extinguished the hate. I know that when the gates of heaven open to welcome the redeemed, eternity will ever be acclaimed.
