A Tablespoon Of Honey

Jacob was never adept at doing whatever he needed to do in order to have great relationships, and because of this, he suffered greatly. He wished he could call on friends and family to help him in times of need, but no one did. He was alone when times were difficult. He was never as alone as when he made the mistake of assuming that those to whom he had been loyal would in turn be loyal to him.

The Lord God Almighty knows that when times are difficult, that is the time that we most need him to be with us. That is the time when we are least likely to have the support of others, and therefore, he has given us his indwelling Holy Spirit. But having the indwelling Holy Spirit Of God is not the same as having a friend who can sit beside you and listen, and who can tell you that they will always be with you. I need that type of friend, almost as much as I need the indwelling Holy Spirit Of God. If I didn't have friendships that matter, life would become monotonous, and barely sustainable.

The Lord God Almighty makes many promises that depend on us being loyal to him and to each other, and that depend on us having an unfailing love for his kingdom, and an irrepressible joy at being chosen to be in it. When that sense of belonging is present, we cannot help but be loyal and faithful to each other, as we hold fast to his promises.

His promise to me was that I would have his daughter as my bride, and I believe with all my heart that she will honor the promise and be my bride. If for any reason she has doubts, I want her to know that I will not set her free unless she first gives me the opportunity to iron out every wrinkle of doubt, and chase away every fragment of fear, and swizzle out every grain of salt, and pour on every syllable I speak to her, a tablespoon of honey.

The Lord God Father in Heaven, El Elohim
