Speed Bumps

Sometimes when you are racing to get somewhere, God places a speed bump in your path to cause you to slow down. He does this, not because he wants you to crawl at a snail's pace, but because he knows that there might be dangerous conditions in front of you that require you to slow down. If you have ever encountered a situation in which you don't seem to know which direction to turn, you probably have encountered a speed bump.

There are three things you need to do each time you encounter a speed bump. First, inquire of the Holy Spirit Of God to ensure that it is God asking you to slow down, and not the devil who is sending you spirits of confusion to cause you to slow down. Spirits of confusion can cause you to become confused as to which direction you should turn, and/or they can try to derail your progress. 

Second, ask the Lord God Almighty to help you to keep your focus on him. If you do, you automatically will move in the right direction, and you will continue to fulfill God's purposes for you. Third, sin sometimes causes you to hit a speed bump, so look into your heart and examine your life to ensure that you have confessed sin to God and have repented of everything about which you need to repent, including sinful thoughts. The Lord God Almighty always forgives, if we seek his forgiveness.
