The Lord God Almighty has stated that we are never to tolerate anything that we would not tolerate if we were in heaven, and anything that we would not expect to experience in heaven, even if we are not in heaven. He has promised us heaven on earth, and it is up to us to lay claim to that promise while we are in the earth. Heaven is not a place that we go to, it is a place that we create here on earth by applying the precepts and teachings of the Bible. It is a place that we must all be committed to creating, though in doing so, we are forced to defend against the forces of evil.
I have never been adept at fighting battles, and always have preferred to live peacefully. When I begun to understand that being in the kingdom of God meant that I would have to fight spiritual battles with the forces around me, I initially wanted to escape. I told God that I was too advanced in age to do what he required of me. His last response was that if I refused to do as he suggested, I would have to spend eternity in hell. The idea of having to spend eternity in hell after having served him for decades did not "sit right" with me. I challenged him for being unfair, and arrogant. I questioned how he could possibly be called a just God, a fair God, a loving God. I even suggested that perhaps it was Satan telling me this, until I recalled that Satan was asleep, and unable to speak. Shortly after this conversation with God, I slipped and fell and broke my leg in two places. Fortunately, I did not realize that my leg was broken, and therefore did not seek medical attention. I limped around my apartment for several days, wondering if this was his way of punishing me for having challenged him to change, questioning his moral fiber, and suggesting that he may have been influenced by Satan. I also wondered what he might do next, and whether I should seek his forgiveness. I decided not to pray, or to seek his forgiveness. Eventually, I called someone and asked them to pray for me, but didn't tell them what was wrong because I didn't know that my leg was broken. The person asked me if I had broken bones, and to my surprise, I heard my spirit respond that my leg was broken in two places. My heart sank, because I thought that I certainly would need to go to the hospital, and perhaps hobble around on crutches for weeks. That was not the case, because the person I had asked to pray challenged me to pray, and to examine my leg in the ether to determine the cause of the pain. I looked and was shocked to see the word "broken" in two places over my leg, and the heads of evil spirits peering out from under the words. I began to pray fervently, and didn't stop until my leg was completely cleansed and healed. Within hours, the swelling and discoloration was gone, and I realized that I had healed myself of a broken leg. The Lord God Almighty knows the evil that we encounter every day. He knows that unless we learn to do battle against the forces of evil, we all would succumb to evil, and his promises would have been for nought. He knows also that if we follow his guidance, there is absolutely no power in hell that can come against us. The Lord God Almighty reigns in the earth, under the earth, and over the earth, and now, Jesus is Lord. M. E.
